Local care home needs your help

The residents at Ardath in Bexhill are appealing to the local community to help them raise vital funds for Bexhill Dementia Action Alliance.

On Friday 10 November, from 11am to 3pm, residents and staff will be hosting a ‘Through the decades’ event at the home, which will include live music from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s, a ‘Name the Bear’ competition, as well as a ‘Guess how many sweets are in the jar’ contest.

Tea, coffee and freshly baked cakes will be provided on the day, and all proceeds will go to Bexhill Dementia Action Alliance, who aim to improve the quality of life of those living with dementia, and their carers.

Lindsey Sherwood, Care Home Manager at Ardath says, “Residents and staff are looking forward to welcoming you to join them in raising money for such a worthy cause. The last few weeks they have been busy preparing for the day, so please do pop along and show your support. All are welcome, just come along on the day.”

Ardath is oneof four care homes, all rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission, owned by Sussex Housing & Care, a not for profit Housing Association with over 70 years’ experience in providing affordable housing and care to the over 55’s across Sussex.

The care home’s address is 27 Hastings Road, Bexhill-On-Sea, TN40 2HJ.  For further information please email ardath@sussexhousing.org.uk, call 01424 210538 or find our more on our website here.
