Care home winter respite offer now available to book

Winter can be the hardest time of year for the older generation, with longer nights, the colder weather, and loneliness all setting in.

We are trying to help make winter a little easier for older people in Sussex by launching a special offer for shorter stays at our care homes in Battle and Bexhill.

Vafa Hurst, Regional Manager for Eastern region, said, “By offering two free nights on a 14 night stay at either Saxonwood care home in Battle, or Ardath care home in Bexhill, we hope to reach out to those in need of some extra support this winter.

“Our homes are warm, welcoming and friendly, provide three freshly cooked and nutritionally balanced meals per day, and offer lots of opportunities to join other residents in a variety of activities such as music, quizzes and exercise sessions.”

Patricia, a recent respite guest at Saxonwood, says, “I have had a three-week stay here following surgery; good care has been given, willing and with great kindness.”

“I enjoyed my meals and was delighted when I learned I could come at short notice. I would definitely recommend Saxonwood to others who are looking for a short stay this winter.”

We welcome visitors to the homes at any time, why not have a look around or join us for a free lunch?
