Each week we will feature a member of our staff here on our website, so you can get to know them a little better. We have around 170 staff across our care homes, housing schemes and central office. Each and every one of them is unique and works hard to provide the best service possible to our residents.
This week we introduce you to Louise Stephens, our Finance Manager, who is based in our Seaford office, Ronald Simson House.
"I have worked for Sussex Housing & Care for two years nine months.
"Whilst on a monthly basis I prepare the Management Accounts, on a daily basis my role can be varied. I deal with queries from staff and residents, deal with insurance claims, process accounting transactions, monitor budgets and manage my team. At the moment I am currently putting together the new year budget and service charges.
"The thing I most enjoy about my job is the people I work with! I have a fantastic Finance team, who are always willing to help anyone. We all work together so well and get through tremendous amounts of work but we also enjoy a laugh or two.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my children and watching them in their football matches or their motocross races, as well as looking after my pets - Mojo the Labradoodle, Bibi the Siamese and George the Guinea Pig - and walks in the forest with my family and Mojo. I also enjoy baking and having rides out on my motorbike."
