Night Care Assistants - Various Hours

Location: Oakwood Court Care Home, Haywards Heath


We are looking to recruit Night Care Assistants to assist in providing a high standard of care, welfare and well-being to our residents. Whilst promoting privacy and dignity we will maintain whenever possible independence of living to support residents.

Main Responsibilities:
- Acting within the care team in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
- Assist in maintaining a high standard of care and a homely environment for residents, ensuring that they are safeguarded from any form of abuse and their valuables / personal belongings are kept safe at all times
- Ensure and maintain a clean and comfortable environment
- Treat residents individually with respect, preserving their dignity whilst demonstrating a caring manner and empathy towards older people.

Knowledge / Skills & Qualifications
- NVQ level 2 or 3 or an agreement to undertake training at these levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of how to move and handle people and various loads using specialist equipment
- Works under their own initiative and be a team player
- Be able to work unsupervised
- Good IT skills and able to confidently use Microsoft packages
- Experience in similar care environment preferred but not essential

Contract type Permanent
-Uniform provided
- 22 days' annual leave pro rata (excluding bank holidays)

Remuneration: £9.50 per hour Hours of shift: 9pm - 7am and will include weekend working Various contracted hours available, together with Bank opportunities.
