Job Description

You’ll be part of our friendly, positive and supportive team providing a high standard of care to our residents at Woodlands.

Main Responsibilities:

  • working in designated areas as prescribed on a rotating basis and as instructed by the Home or Regional Manager
  • vacuuming and cleaning residents rooms, the corridors and all communal areas within the home to a high standard
  • ensuring that the furniture, fittings including furniture, fabric, and equipment are also cleaned and maintained to a high standard
  • being respectful of residents personal belongings and helping contribute to their upkeep / cleaning (e.g. furniture) and that any objects that are removed for cleaning are replaced in the same position.
  • ensuring the residents are safe whilst carrying out cleaning tasks
  • assisting at meal times and serving refreshments to residents 
  • help to answer resident request and potential reception duties (telephone etc.)
  • helping in the laundry, ensuring that clothes are cleaned and returned to their rightful owner

Candidate Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

- Ability to recognise residents' rooms and belongings are personal and private
- To demonstrate safe practice
- Good communication skills
- Maintain a polite and courteous manner towards residents, staff and visitors to the home at all times
- Awareness of health and safety and manual handling

Employment Details

  • Employment Type: Permanent
  • Pay: £12.00 Hourly
