This role is to provide a responsive maintenance service in respect repairs, cleaning and grounds maintenance to Woodlands Care Home.

The role includes maintaining the building and surrounding areas to a high standard. This includes painting, clearing blockages, ensuring clear and safe access to the building, understanding the heating and electrical plant and making adjustments where necessary, reporting defects to the manager, maintaining appropriate records and undertaking minor repairs and replacement of parts. You will also be responsible for regular Health and Safety checks to the building and grounds (i.e. Legionella, Fire, PAT testing), including recording results of checks and reporting exceptions to the site manager.

Candidate Requirements

You will need to have knowledge of general building maintenance and experience of working in a health and safety regulated environment and have a knowledge of basic Health and Safety checks to residential buildings. You will preferably be building trade based qualified and PAT testing certified.

You will have a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.

You will need to be empathetic and have a considerate nature. Working previously in an older persons housing and care setting isn’t essential but would be advantageous.

  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Pay: £21840.00 Annually

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday
