"Suppose she sneezed?" A collection of memories of the Queen's coronation | News from Oakwood Court

This short digital story celebrates the Queen's Jubilee in June 2022. We're making our mark in social history by sharing a special collection of memories of the 1953 coronation from our incredible care home residents.

The residents who took part are particularly proud and the project has brought a real sense of enthusiasm, recollection and enjoyment. The sharing of these stories is part of our sunny moments activity club, bringing a brighter life and new opportunities to our residents.

The recordings were made at Oakwood Court care home in Haywards Heath, Woodlands care home in Crowborough and Saxonwood care home in Battle.
