Care home residents raise money for Macmillan
Residents at Saxonwood care home in Battle raised a fantastic £140 for Macmillan Cancer Support during their coffee morning last week.
A raffle, fantastic spread of cakes and goodies, live music and a 'mastermind' style quiz with MP Huw Merriman all contributed to a brilliant atmosphere with lots of friends, relatives and visitors.
MP Huw Merriman said, "Thank you for inviting me. This is an amazing place and you have an amazing team of people, who work round the clock and are so supportive of all that goes on here. It's wonderful you bring so much life to the organisation and that you are supporting a wonderful cause that is particularly close to my heart."
