We’re supporting national care home open week!

We’re on the countdown to National Care Home Open Week which launches next Monday 24 June 2024.

We cannot wait – we’ve got lots planned and some exciting events lined up in our not for profit care homes in Haywards Heath, Crowborough and Battle. Our residents, their families and the local community are looking forward to a week packed full of fun, free activities, and you’re welcome to join us too!

Here’s what’s on…

Oakwood Court care home, Haywards Heath

  • Mocktail Mayhem! Enjoy some refreshing mocktails and fun activities…the sun may even make an appearance! Monday 24th June, 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
  • Intergenerational art workshop with students from Warden Park Academy and Bolnore Primary School. Tuesday 25th June, 10.15am to 12 noon.
  • Toddler group, singing and activities at Oakwood Court. Friday 28th June,  10.30am to 11.30am
  • Cheese, wine and Elvis! Friday 28th June, 5pm to 7pm.

Woodlands care home, Crowborough

  • Cheese and wine evening. Wednesday 26th June, 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
  • Intergenerational art workshop with students from local primary schools. Thursday 27th June, 10.15am to 12 noon.

Saxonwood care home, Battle

Championing Social Care

Care Home Open Week is hosted nationally buy Championing Social Care, who are a volunteer-led group of leaders from across the social care sector. This is our chance, along with care homes up and down the country, to showcase what we do. It’ll put us at the heart of the community as we open our doors and welcome old friends and new to meet us all.
