Dementia Friends Champions at Ardath and Saxonwood
Staff from Ardath and Saxonwood recently attended a Dementia Friends Champion induction day.
Lindsey, Katie, Sigita and Roxi are now joined as Dementia Friends, and as it was an induction day they attended,they will now be able to provide information sessions to staff, residents, families and visitors. From this, we will hopefully be able to increase peoples knowledge of dementia, and encourage them to commit to an action, so that they too are able to become a Dementia Friend.
Sussex Housing & Care are a dementia friendly organisation, and as we support individuals living with dementia, these information sessions could be invaluable as they focus on individuals being seen for who they are and being able to live well.
