Fire Door Safety Week
This week is Fire Door Safety Week and we want to raise awareness of the critical role of fire doors.
Fire doors are often the first line of defence in a fire, so it is crucial they are looked after properly. We can all do this by making sure we follow the 5 step Fire Door Safety Check detailed which you can view here 5 step Fire Door Check [pdf] 147K.
Here at Sussex Housing & Care we take fire safety very seriously and have just completed fire risk assessments for all of our properties which can be viewed on our website here.
Fire safety risk assessments are carried out in addition to weekly fire checks conducted by our staff. Our fire alarm contractors visit our properties every three months to carry out fire alarm checks and they service the emergency lighting every six months. The firefighting equipment is serviced annually.
