Intergenerational story project begins

"What's your favourite food?" One of the many questions students from Claverham Community College asked residents at Saxonwood care home during the first session of the new 'Bringing our stories to life' project in Battle.

Residents paired up with students and started sharing stories about their life experiences and favourite things. It was a joy to see the room buzzing with chat, and everyone getting to know their new friends.

Ann said: "The more I talked the more I remembered things. She was a lovely lass I was speaking with, and it will be nice to have my own film to share with my friends and family."

At the end of the 6 week project, students will produced a short digital story about an experience or memory, to capture a moment of social history!

We are working in partnership with the fabulous Everyday Creativity and are thankful to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for funding this intergenerational community project.
