Ardath opened it's doors last Tuesday to a record number of visitors for free lunch and activites, plus a visit from Councillor Charles Clark.
The day kicked off with a creative flower arranging sesson with carer Angelica. Residents and guests put together some beautiful displays to decorate the home, and we all enjoyed a taste of spring with the bright flowers and sunshine streaming through the windows.
After being shown around the home, guests and residents enjoyed chatting over a delicous two course lunch, which was followed by a lively afternoon quiz.
Councillor Charles Clark said, "I was very pleased to meet the residents and staff on their open day. Everyone was happy and relaxed in a very welcoming environment,. Residents were engaged in activities, including flower arranging, and looking forward to their afternoon quiz."
Taking place on a monthly basis, the days are part of our initiative to help tackle the increasing problem of loneliness and isolation amongst older people.
Thank you to everyone who came along to support us and helped make the day such a huge success...
