We are excited to welcome you, or someone you know, to a recruitment day at our care home this October.

The recruitment days are packed with a variety of activities and workshops to give job seekers first-hand experience about what it’s like to work in a care home.  

The events are open to all, and especially for people looking for work experience, a new rewarding job, to start their career, for anyone looking to change jobs or careers or to generally find out more about the variety of roles in a care home.

Activities on the day include; CV writing and job seeking workshop, hearing from carers about their role and professional development, job shadowing to find out what care is really about, and an activity programme with care home residents, as well as optional interviews.

Amanda Hodge, Director of Housing & Care, said: “Our friendly team is excited to welcome job seekers to Woodlands. It’s a perfect opportunity to see what’s involved in working in a care home, which  is much more varied than the usual ‘carer’ stereotypes and perceptions some people hold. We are keen to support individuals with work experience and starting out in their career, whether they continue in care or decide to venture into other professions – care experience gives an excellent grounding for so many different roles.

Wednesday 19th October - 11am to 4pm, Oakwood Court care home, Haywards Heath
