Today we are changing our look and feel and welcome the roll out of our new brand.
Residents and staff worked together with Firebrand, a local branding agency to develop a new brand that represents Sussex Housing and Care. In a further survey, people told us that they wanted imagery reflecting our place as a local housing and care organisation in Sussex, with a focus on community and the sunny South East. Our previous logo had remained largely unchanged since 1946.
Lizzie Gurr, Project Manager said: “This project has involved in depth research and we’re delighted to share the new brand. We extend a special thanks to residents who took part in focus groups and questionnaires, and our staff team and other customers who gave their feedback. Our aim has been to create a more positive and memorable brand for Sussex Housing & Care and we’re delighted with the end result.”
Frances Thurston, a resident from Crowborough took part in the focus groups and enjoyed the project: “It was great to be involved, it kept me informed and I had a chance to share my thoughts and also hear other people’s ideas. The new logo is modern and the sunflower design is good – I am particularly fond of nature and the outdoors.”
The new logo celebrates our heritage and links to the sun in the original logo.
We also have a new tagline: ‘Brighter Living’ following feedback from residents that they wanted a more positive and uplifting message.
Our new brand represents the values of Sussex Housing & Care as we move forward, committed to the provision of housing, care and support for our residents.
